: The Lions Big Bottle Lunch begins with transfers from your accommodation (either Adelaide 10.30am or Barossa 11.30am).
Our Head of Winemaking Sam Wigan will welcome you on arrival at Yalumba, and take you on an immersive day across the winery, starting with drinks and canapes in our Cooperage. Here our Head Cooper Kym Venning will put on a fiery show. Kym will showcase the craftsmanship of wine barrel making, a trade unique to Yalumba, as the only winery in Australia with an onsite cooperage.
This progressive lunch experience moves to our Signature Cellar, where you will learn more about our iconic The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz. Syphon a tasting from the barrel, before heading into our Centenary Barrel room to learn about Yalumba’s history as Australia’s oldest family-owned winery.
Seated in our converted fermentation Tank 11, lunch will continue with free-flowing Big Bottles of Yalumba's Rare & Fine wines.
You will also have the rare opportunity to explore the labyrinth of the Hill-Smith Family wine collection museum. A truly private and exclusive experience, Sam will select a museum wine (or two) to share with you over cheeses – the perfect finish to a day of feasting.
You will have the chance to purchase Yalumba wines, both current release and some handpicked museum wines, to take home with you.
The day concludes with transfers back to Adelaide or Barossa.
