This year Yalumba celebrates 175 years. As part of the celebrations we are unveiling our inaugural Yalumba Museum Collection.
This Collection adds a new sensory dimension that reveals the enormous advances in fine wine at Yalumba over the last three decades or more.
Pockets of carefully tended vines have been hand-selected to provide the fruit for our very best and most sought-after wines. Crafted only when all the elements of viticulture and winemaking interact perfectly. Our Rare and Fine wines are the very best examples of the varieties and blends that have found a natural home here in The Barossa, spanning over six generations of family winemaking.
These wines are bottled history, for inside each bottle there is a unique Yalumba story to be told.
Twenty years ago, the winemaking team began putting-away its flagship wines with the intention for the bottles to be enjoyed at a later date.
It was envisioned that beautifully aged wines, released every year, would promote the reputation of surviving heirloom vineyards and consistently show the strength of skilled craftsmanship and the Yalumba fine wine brand.
With ambitions to build a greater fine wine future, our family envisaged a long-term cellaring programme that would bring beautifully aged wines into the market.
After nearly 20 years of laying-down back vintages, the first Yalumba Museum Release offers our guests a unique and memorable fine wine experience. There is nothing more evocative or more pleasing than enjoying perfectly cellared vintages.
A limited number of bottles will be made available for our Yalumba Wine Room guests and Yalumba Wine Club members, due for release 17 May 2024.
